The "Lorenzo Seràgnoli" Trophy is the traditional minibasket tournament that involves primary school children (starting from the 3rd grade) and the first class children of 1st grade secondary schools in Bologna and the province. Since its first edition, in 1969, the Tournament is promoted and supported by G.D, the world's leading company in the field of automatic machines. Every year this initiative involves, for over two months, about 800 children who are waiting for this event with trepidation to be able to compare with the participants of all the other institutes. To enrich the Trophy, the meetings with the "School of Typhus" thanks to the collaboration with Emanuele Maccaferri and the participation of some professional players of the Lega Basket and Lega Due, with the aim of promoting a positive sports culture through the dissemination of a logic of cheering "pro" their team and not "against" the opponent. Sport but also art thanks to the "Il Manifesto" pictorial graphic competition, Memorial Achille Baratti, where, every year, the most beautiful drawings are rewarded among those realized by the school students and, as usual, the first classified is chosen as a graphic for the Trophy poster. The Trophy has been organized by LGS SportLab since 2013 under the patronage of the Municipality of Bologna, the Regional School Office for Emilia-Romagna - Directorate General and FIP - Emilia-Romagna Regional Committee.
